With respect to the twelve functions defined as subscales of the ECA-R, we found that only four of those reflected a positive impact from the MT/DMT therapy: regulation/behavioral variability, imitation disorder, instinct disorder and emotional disorder. The most positively affected was the regulation/behavioral variability, with a comparative effect-size power of 26%. This function implies the capacity to modulate self-adaptive behaviors, avoiding extreme swings and behaviors such as aggressive rejection or possessive attachment to others.
