While in the university, I have joined Tourism Student Club since 2009-2014 and I have been voted for a chairman in 2011.I learned a lot from this club. I have worked with locals people and worked about sustainable tourism, conservation andenvironment. I have joined many activities. I got new friends from other faculties and International friends from all aroundthe world. I have learned to work with others, learned to be a leader and learned how to succeed together. One of the best my experience was in 2013, I was 10 finalist Volunteer from all around the around the world and I was arepresentative youth of Thailand. The project called “The Little Big Project” is a Volunteer Tourism competition funded bythe Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), to inspire worldwide travelers to take a volunteer vacation in Thailand. It was a 3weeks online campaign, online blogging competitions hosted between July 1st to July 20th 2013. To present the conceptof giving travelers an opportunity to do something meaningful while on their holiday, to make travelers amazed how littlecan make such a BIG difference, and to give a life changing experience for the travelers themselves and to make a betterworld for others.I and my partner, Abdulrahman (from Indonesian) were one of the 10 finalists, and We worked closely with AndamanDiscovery, Community development along the beach, Phang Nga Province, Thailand. We worked together with localpeople in Kuraburi City and Phrathong Island by Teaching English, Marine conservation and built a school’s toilet for thestudent on Phrathong Island. After 3 weeks of working closely with the locals and blogging, we received the second highernumber of votes and viewer and was the second team. We won 1,000 USD for our supported organization, AndamanDiscovery. The money was distributed to helping local community service and volunteering. The Little Big Project hasgiven me much more than I can ever imagine. It also was an unforgettable memories to share Thai culture withAbdulrahman.
