Pace tops off sky project
Pace Development Corporation Plc has announced the successful topping off of MahaNakhon at 77 floors, the tallest building in Thailand. At 314 metres, the skyscraper surpasses the current Baiyoke Tower II, which is 304 m high.
The 22-billion-baht luxury mixed-use project on Narathiwat-Ratchanakarin Road in central Bangkok is expected to hand off residential units to customers by the end of this year. It will take a few months to complete the entire project.
"We expect exterior finishing touches to be in place this year. For the interior, we should be able to deliver residences to customers from late 2015 to 2016," said Sorapoj Techakraisri, Pace's chief executive officer.
The company brands MahaNakhon a super-tall building and when it is completed, it will be an elegant landmark on the city's skyline.
"We have a world-class expert team to consult on construction, as well as Bouygues Thai serving as building contractor under the supervision of Bouygues France, which is one of the top three contractors in the world," he said.
MahaNakhon includes 207 units of The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Bangkok, all surrounded by glass which creates a feeling of hovering in the sky.
