They lived in the area where Wat Phrathat Doi Kham is today. Pu Sae took charge to watch over Doi Suthep while Ya Sae was responsible for Doi Kham in the southern part.
After the Lord Buddha knew of their violence, he made them less aggressive by his great merit. The Lord also taught them Buddhist principles but only the giant son could stick to the five Buddhist precepts. The two ogres were still asking to eat two human beings a year as their instincts always made them eat flesh but the Lord refused their request. They, in return, asked for permission to eat animal flesh instead.
