TCP/IP Addresses
TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) is a set of rules (protocol) used along with the Internet Protocol (IP) to send data in the form of message units between computers over the Internet.
Every host on the Internet must have a unique IP address.
IP address is a numerical label assigned to each device (e.g., computer, printer) participating in a computer network that uses the Internet Protocol for communication.
The IP address is a 32-bit number which we write in dotted decimal notation.
