Confidentiality or non-disclosure
agreements are used to give notice that
information is confidential or secret.
Employees should normally sign such an
agreement as part of their initial terms
and conditions of employment.
• Casual staff and third party users:
– Casual staff and third party users not already
covered by an existing contract(containing the
confidentiality agreement) should be required to
sign a confidentiality agreement prior to being given
access to information processing facilities.
• Review of confidentiality agreements:
– Confidentiality agreements should be reviewed
when there are changes to terms of employment or
contract, particularly when employees are due to
leave the organisation or contracts are due to end.
