Metals in Fish: The concentration of metals (Pb, Cd, Zn
and Cu mg kg 1) in the dry tissues of muscle and liver of
Catfish and Nile tilapia were summarized in Table 3.
Comparison of the extent of heavy metal accumulation in
the analyzed tissues showed that the differences in
distribution among different tissues were statistically
significant for all assessed metals (p < 0.05). The
accumulated metal concentration in liver was higher than
its level in the muscles.
