Writing a screenplay without a treatment is like erecting a skyscraper without a blueprint.Imagine a contractor showing up at a construction site. with him are a truckload of workmen, a cement mixer, and assorted tools and equipment. the contractor walks up and down and surveys the building site thought fully. Then he instructs the workers, "All right, men, we'll pour some cement along here. No, better pour it over there! And While we're doing that, you carpenters get some boards and nails and let's put up some walls. what's that? Sure put in a door if you want to. Hell,as long as we're at it,let's put in a couple of doors. Anybody else got any ideas?
