The overall growth in these trials was very good. In
the first trial, fish grew an average of 103 g over the
course of the 8-week trial while fish in the second trial
grew an average of 86.7 g. This growth is much higher
than that reported by Denson et al. (2003) in which
juvenile cobia (initial weight = 8.5 g) reared in
recirculating systems for 10 weeks at a salinity of 30 ppt
exhibited a weight gain of only 39.1 g.
