Together for the past eight years, Lynn and Pat have had the privilege to work with numerous dynamic school teams. It’s been a wonderful adventure full of listening and learning. With the support of Dr. Lorie Robinson, District Principal of Student Support Services, School District #62 (Sooke), they were encouraged to develop various resources. One of these resources is Project G.I.F.T. (Gaining Independence for Tomorrow), a life skills curriculum for students with special needs. Today this resource has evolved into Building
Life Skill Portfolios. Teams of parents, teachers, administrators, consultants
and teaching assistants who have been supporting students in inclusive settings were the incentive for this resource. The students and their stories were always the inspiration!
