In 2008, Frederique’s Choice launched in her native Holland and van der Wal brought her company to U.S. this past fall. From the beginning, van der Wal has been the creative force behind developing and arranging her company’s flower collections: including mood, seasonal and zodiac themes. She now has six employees stateside and serves customers down the eastern seaboard, from Maine to Virginia. As the company grows, it will branch into West coast deliveries with a new distribution center in 2016. For now, it continues to expand its brand partnerships with related companies in the lifestyle industry to introduce its flowers to as many customers as possible.
