We have grown PbO2and Pb nanowires by electrodeposition in
polycarbonate templates following a two-step procedure leading to
arrays of nanowires well attached to a current collector made of the
same material [28]. The present work is a part of a systematic
investigation on the growth and electrochemical performance of
these nanowires as electrodes for lead-acid battery. Here, the results concerning PbO2nanowires will be presented and discussed.
At our better knowledge, is thefirst time, after the preliminary
investigation reported in our recent paper[29], that results relating
to the fabrication and possible application of these type of electrodes are shown. Up to date, only nanostructured electrodes
