It’s not like anyone will try and understand me
Not that I’m shallow enough that they could ever understand me
I’ve broken free of the rails foisted on me And shot down the targets in my way, one by one
All to try and find utter freedom
I’ll be the one to decide who is deserving, and who deserves nothing
Isn’t that what true strength is?
That’s why I won’t back down or question my path
There’s no turning back, I’m past the point of no return
I won’t rely on anybody ever again
I will stand at the center of the world and in the pursuit of the power I need to do so
I’ll happily cross the line between good and evil
I won’t look back, I’m past the point of no return
Even if nobody else forgives what I’ve done
As long as you’ll be there, if you’ll just notice me,
I’d cross the line between life and death this very instant
“If it means everybody else can be happy I’d gladly sacrifice myself”
They’re just pathetic, empty words the weak use to justify their actions
The strength to be victorious in battle And the strength to control through influence
It’s my personal double standard that I think they should be mine, and mine alone
It’s because you don’t realize just how foolish you are
Believing in something as fragile as hope
That I wanted to show you another kind of justice
There’s no turning back, I’m past the point of no return
There’s nowhere left for me to go back to
Now I realize that betrayal is just a temptation that only invites more and more betrayals
What’s real and what’s in my head becomes so unclear
I won’t look back, I’m past the point of no return
I knew in my heart there was no going back
But I never considered that all the things I wanted were from the very past I cast aside
So I’ll keep wandering this line between the past and the present
I’ll be the one to decide Who is deserving, and who deserves nothing
Isn’t that what true strength is?
That’s why I won’t back down or question my path
Because I miss you
There’s no turning back, I’m past the point of no return
I won’t rely on anybody ever again
I will stand at the center of the world and in the pursuit of the power I need to do so
I’ll happily cross the line between good and evil
I won’t look back, I’m past the point of no return
I knew in my heart there was no going back
But I never considered that all the things I wanted were from the very past I cast aside
So I’ll keep wandering this line between the past and the present
All on my own…
