a mobile GPS Web Application with Shortest Path Finder, was successfully developed in at Fairfield University using HTML5/CSS/ jQuery and Google Map API in .NET environment with MS SQL database. A new TSDC algorithm was developed to generate consistently “good” routes “fast” regardless of the number of locations. Experimental results showed considerable improvement in time and distance of routes over those manually picked. TSDC algorithm also produced solutions better than the one generated by NN algorithm in much better response time than the BB algorithm. Future enhancement includes the integration of other useful services such as integrating traffic and road construction information to the application and further improment of response time by reducing the number of interactions between application and Google Map service. More field tests with local non-profit organizations such as Meals on Wheels are planned be conducted to verify the experimental results after the system is updated.
