Executives are put under
pressure by shareholders, analysts and journalists
to explain their actions (reports, road
shows and interviews), not only in the United
States, but also in France, Germany and the
United Kingdom. If executives and members
of the board make significant errors of judgement,
they are today increasingly likely to be
questioned and, if they cannot prove that their
choices were based on clear information and
open debate of different points of view, to be
removed from office.
