As we have discussed in the communications and IT chapter, we can see that little data
on real consumption are available for small consumers. Most of the time, their behavior
is assumed to follow a pre-determined load profile. The development of projects aiming
at introducing demand response into small consumers’ behavior as well as the
deployment of smarter meters are currently making real data more available. In some
cases there is also lack of statistical system-level data such as system (imbalance)
prices.
