The prevalence of overweight and obesity in children and adolescents
in urban and rural regions from 2009 to 2015 were shown in
Table 1. All the P values of the prevalence of overweight and obesity
among urban children and adolescents from 2009 to 2015 were more
than 0.05,which indicated that the prevalence of overweight and obesity
among children and adolescents in urban districts remained stable.
However, there were significant differences for the prevalence of overweight
and obesity between 2009 and 2015among children and adolescents
in rural districts. The prevalence of overweight and obesity among
rural children and adolescents were significantly higher in 2015 than in
2009(P b 0.05). Moreover, the prevalence of overweight and obesity
among children (7–12 years)were obviously higher than in adolescents
(13–17 years).
