agronomic importance and are particularly suited to decision-making in germplasm collections as they sim- plify the identification of genetic duplicates. In order to assess genetic diversity of a highly valuable forage legu- me ex situ collection, this study sets out to characterize the genetic variability of 34 C. molle accessions using AFLP as a platform for DNA fingerprinting. At the same time, this allowed the evaluation for possible relation- ships between genotype and the eco-geography of the collection site.
