Serious video games with therapeutic objectives are designed or chosen dedicatedly to autistic children under certain categories, which will be explained in detail in later section. Unlike the commercial use of Kinect as a tool for touchless video games, the primary role for Kinect in this proposed model is to monitor and evaluate the facial expression of autistic children. The games could be either touchless or classic video games that require gamepad or any facilities. When autistic children are playing games, the reactions of their expression are captured in real-time. After a series of analyses mentioned in the above paragraph, the result will be a comprehensive evaluation of the reaction of autistic children towards different serious games. This can be used to assist the diagnosis for further treatment, and also provide reliable support to make the most out of therapy sessions with its selfadaptive concept.
