This pump had been previously tested in a laboratory set-up at
a constant speed (1620 rpm) and a variety of operating points
ranging from shut-off to well above the nominal flow-rate. For
each operating point, pressure fluctuations were measured at 36
equally spaced positions along the front side of the volute. Measurement
uncertainties for the flow-rate and the pressure fluctuation
were estimated to be respectively ±0.8% and ±1.5%. More
information about the laboratory arrangement, measurement
chain and experimental procedure can be found in Ref. [4]. These
measurements were then used as experimental input data for the
ideal source identification software, in order to contrast the pressure
fluctuation predictions at fBP.
