The behavior of water absorption as firing temperature was better for 20% and 30% rock dust than other samples.
• Mechanical strength of the samples is within the range of 31–53 MPa.
• Shrinkage values were low. Low Shrinkage indicates that it reduces the risk of defects such as warping and cracking.
• The results made it possible to conclude about the possibility of producing roof tiles incorporating up to 40% of rock dust having better properties fired at 900 °C. Thus it could be used to produce a wide range of ceramic and industrial products by taking advantages of low cost and environmental protection.
• Glazing would not be required for these tiles, making the process even more affordable, since these products would be classified as natural products.
