3.1. Biochemical results
Potassium dichromate treated rats showed a significant decrease in the serum T3 and T4 and a significant increase in the TSH levels when compared with control group and vitamin C treated group. In the protective group, there was a significant increase in the level of the T3 and T4 and a significant decrease in the serum TSH compared with potassium dichromate treated group (Table 1, Table 2 and Table 3).
