Come home before seven."
Akashi nodded.
But Momoi still didn’t let go of the bento wrapped in a cloth that she’d set into his hands, as if she was still thinking. Pink hair had been hurriedly tied into a bun and the apron was still on her, Akashi noted with an amused smile as he patiently waited for her to remember whatever it was she’d stopped him for.
Their daily morning routine was Momoi getting up early to make him breakfast and lunch, Akashi taking his time to get ready. He’d come downstairs dressed and in a suit that Momoi would always spend a few seconds admiring as he’d eat his breakfast and she’d always frown when he said he had to leave.
But she’d always get a kiss that left her breathless for a few moments and smile dreamily at him and walk him to the door, slippers shuffling along the clean floor.
'Drive safe' and 'be nice' were always words she'd tell him, teasing that although he was a good CEO, he was also a mean one at times. He'd look up from putting on his shoes to smirk at her.
"I’ll come back before seven."
"Oh!" her eyes lit up. "I remembered?"
"Hm?"
Momoi smiled.
"Unless you’re in a meeting that has the entire company at risk of being bought out, stop ignoring my calls. Seijuro.”
"…All right.
