The effect of the different adsorption parameters, such as the contact time, temperature, pH, and CR dye concentration, was studied to evaluate the best conditions for the maximum dye removal from its aqueous solutions. Variation of time was studied from 10 to 120 min in batch experiments with 25 ppm CR solution at 37 °C. Adsorption capacity (q) was observed to increase with time, and the equilibrium was attained after 60 min. Cellulose and CCDA exhibited the maximum adsorption capacity of 4.1 mg/g and 17.7 mg/g, respectively, after 60 min. So the optimum time of 60 min was selected for further studies (Fig. 7a).
