The three-dimensional predicted response surface plots at constant
temperature (32.5 C) for the germination of mung bean
seeds as a function of calcium hypochlorite or carvacrol concentration
and level of pressure applied to seeds, are shown in Fig. 1a and
b, respectively. As pressure levels increased between 100 and
300 MPa, there was a significant negative effect on the seed viability,
at all concentrations of both sanitisers (Fig. 1a and b).
