Windows Holographic is an augmented reality computing platform by Microsoft that will be introduced in the Windows 10 operating system when it is released in 2015.[1][2] With Windows Holographic APIs, which are enabled in all versions of Windows 10 (including Windows 10 for phones and small tablets), augmented reality features can be readily implemented on any Windows universal app, across a wide range of Windows 10 devices.[3] Microsoft announced Windows Holographic at its "Windows 10: The Next Chapter" press event on January 21, 2015.[4]
