In in vitro experiments too curcumin inhibited iron catalysed lipid peroxidation
in liver homogenates, scavenged nitricoxide spontaneously generated from nitroprusside and inhibited heat induced haemolysis of rat erythrocytes (Naik, Thakare, & Patil, 2011). It seems that the higher curcumin content in GG would provide more beneficial
effects in health.
