The four rocker switches, labeled SYM (symbology), BRT (brightness), CON (contrast), and GAIN operate to increase or
decrease control.
The CMFDs provide a choice of three display formats (Figure 2-11, Sheet 2 of 4) selectable at either OSS 12, 13, or 14.
The mnemonics for these three formats, from a list of 8 available formats, are displayed adjacent to the OSSs. The
mnemonic for the format currently being displayed is highlighted. That format is called the primary format while the other
two formats are referred to as the secondary formats.
Depressing the OSS adjacent to a secondary format mnemonic selects it as the primary format for that display. The
primary format may also be changed hands-on by positioning the display management switch on the Side Stick Controller
left or right.
