Although the findings from the current study suggest that changing components of posture may lead to an increase in shoulder flexion and scapular plane abduction range of movement, it is important to acknowledge that the findings do not suggest that posture follows set patterns, or that the postural change reported here has functional relevance.
This is important to emphasize, as the postural change described in the current investigation, despite an overall mean improvement, had a detrimental effect on shoulder range in a number of subjects in both groups.
