Date
The date of a letter is the date the letter is written. lt should
be positioned at least two lines below the letterhead. You should leave one
blank line if you write the date below the return address. lt the return address
is written under the signature, write the date about two inches from the too of
the page. The date consists of the day, the month, and the year. The day is
written in digits and it is acceptable to write the day with or without the
abbreviation -st, -rid, or e th. The month is spelled in full and the
year is written in four digits.
