In this study, CNT-based aerogels were synthesized from thermal treatment of dried CNT-contained R/F gels under an inert atmosphere. These porous structures possessed low densities and high specific surface areas and porosities. Motivated by these desirable properties, the MWCNT aerogels were evaluated as novel adsorbents to remove methylene blue from aqueous solutions. The experimental results demonstrated efficient performance of the adsorbents and their facile
separation from the solutions due to their macroscopic dimensions.
