Komodo Islands consist of three major islands, Komodo, Rinca and Padar and many smaller islands as well. Together, they cover a colossal area of 1,817 square km. The tourism development plans for the near future has lined up extensions to the existing faculties and boundaries that would bring the total surface area in the Komodo Island for tourist exploration up to 2,321 square km.
