Nernst potential. When a fuel cell works in the condition
that has an open-circuit voltage, cell voltage is called equilibrium
ideal potential. Assuming the fuel cell works in reversible mode,
its voltage is equal to Nernst potential. In other words, Nernst
equation indicates that there is a relationship between ideal standard
potential (E0) for fuel cell function, the related reactions and
equilibrium ideal potential. Partial pressure of reactants and
products as well as operating temperature are the factors that have
impact on Nernst potential value
