18 month follow-up significance was lost,however,
71% now rated their QoL as good/very good vs.
58% in the control group. Evaluation of question
2,satisfaction with health,showed a trend of
improvement with significance upon the last
follow-up. As for the trend of global changes
over time (i.e. total QoL-score) we found that
patients in the experimental condition improved
steadily (significant at final follow-up) on almost
every domain while the control condition did not
(Table 2): QoL was rated 5.4 point higher in the
experimental group,while control group ratings
hardly changed (t ¼ 2.11; P < 0.05).
