Using BVIS as a case study, this paper applies both propensity score matching (PSM) and endogenous
switching regression (ESR) to assess the impact of participating in irrigation co-management
on net annual agricultural income of farmers growing crops under irrigation. The paper further analyzed
the impact of participating in irrigation co-management for farmers growing one irrigated crop
versus growing two crops, the extent to which the impact varies among female-headed participants,
the youths, and low income participants, which are considered to be marginalized groups.1
