Figs. 11 and 12, respectively, show the results of the reference scenario and simulated Scenario 2 involving a 50% reduction in heavy vehicle traffic in the areas surrounding the two hospitals. Again, although the results of the simulations show a decrease of about 3 dB (A) at the facades of the two hospitals, this reduction does not solve the problem of noise pollution surrounding the hospitals, since the noise levels reaching the their facades are still higher than those allowed by Curitiba legislation, which is a Leq of 55 dB(A) [33].
