• Digital dry baths (heat blocks) are calibrated at the factory at 37°C using a small hole pattern block. If using a platform style block or a block with large holes, one may consider recalibrating unit. One may also consider recalibrating unit if using loosely fitting or strangely shaped reaction vessels.
• To calibrate, turn the unit off with On/Off switch.
• Place a calibrated reference thermometer into the block thermometer hole.
• Press and hold Start/Stop key while simultaneously using On/Off switch.
• The block will emit sound and the display will flash a set temperature.
• Press Up and Down arrows to set desired temperature. Then press Start.
• Allow 40-50 minutes for the unit to heat to reach and equilibrate at the setpoint temperature. The entire LED display will flash upon equilibration.
• After equilibration, read the thermometer and use Up and Down arrows to adjust display to thermometer reading. Then press Start-Stop key.
• Unit will begin to adjust operating temperature to original setpoint while including recalibration factor. Allow sufficient time for re-equilibration and then again compare temperature on thermometer to the displayed temperature. Repeat procedure if required.
