The Festivities of "Cascamorras" belong unquestionably to the group of fiestas which over time have taken shape as a popular tradition and cultural value. "Cascamorras" is a mixture of the profane and the religious, of the divine and the human, joined in a curious and different way, and at the same time profound.
But it is much more than that, it is a distinguishing mark of both towns, which to their many social, economic and cultural similarities, may be added the celebration of this common festivity, which is a compelling degree of twinning between these towns.
For some time "Cascamorras" has likewise become a cultural reappraisal, which year after year takes on greater fervency and which is talked about not just when the fiesta is held but throughout the 365 days of the year, giving rise to various discrepancies over its origins and development.
