From Cooperative education that I have a chance to be an internship in YGGDRAZIL, I have learn about the most important thing that modeler need to concern is wireframe. The model that going to be used in animation must have good topology to make it can be used in other processes such as rig and dynamic. Although modeler can create a very beautiful model, that model will be useless if it has wrong topology. Thus the first thing I got were how to model and how to manage the wireframe especially in face and joint in good topology that make it to be most easy to who get that model to work on because modelling is a process that in the early of production processes and the models will be sent to the next process. Thus I was taught even how to save and set the names of model files to make they can find the files easily. I also was told that some companies don’t have a specific position like texture artist, so I was required to know how to create textures for model including how to create uv mapping then arrange them in easy position to work on and how to paint texture. Moreover, I have learned how to set the light, shading and rendering the model. It is an important one to make a character model to look more beautiful and interesting.
Not only the modelling techniques that I have learn, but I also know about my weakness and what is I have to learn more. Before I got in this company, the basic I had is not enough such as how to manage the wireframe, how to create the uv mapping and how to texturing. But After the training, I have got the experience in working in the real production filed and how to prepare myself to work in the future. Moreover, I also get the ideas about how to create the outstanding works and to find my own style of work while I can do the things I love.
Working in this company, everything is almost challenging to me. When I worked, I found that everything I knew is too less to do the real work and lack of experience. Thus I have to be active to ask when I had a problem or I didn’t know how to do that. I always tried hard and got every suggestions to develop myself and my works. I am very proud when I look at my works then compare before training works to after training works. I can see my great development from them. But the most proud achievement is my work that I was assigned to sculpt the creature with Zbrush to practice was shown in Artstation. It is a website that the artist in worldwide use to show their works and there are only some works will be shown on the Trending page. However this is not enough. There are many things I have to learn and keep on practicing to improve my skill.
