it can be seen that the generator produces a close
approximation to a sinusoidal distribution of output voltage, but the current waveform is not a simple sine wave and contains harmonics obviously due to the converter with switches in fast on–off transitions. By the Fourier decomposition theory, the voltage and current harmonics of the generator will be decomposed. Table II gives the voltage and current harmonics of the generator operating at 10 000 r/min and at the load of 3.5 kW. The harmonics of the machine operating at the rated speed (60 000 r/min) and at the rated power were also calculated and the results were added at Table II.
