for the engineering application of spray combustion
modeling, the shaping of temporal combustion
rates, involves the high-pressure hydrodynamics
of the fuel injection process, two-phase fluid dynamics,
and multicomponent fuel evaporation for the
mixture formation process and high-pressure combustion
chemistry of a heterogeneous and inhomogeneous
fuel-air mixture.
