11. Discussed with Mike James on the Coles tender. The tender is more of an invitation to quote so there is no legal requirement for public disclosure of the results. It seems that invitation to quote is also used by IGA and there is very little excitement amongst the suppliers when these types of invitations are sent out.
12. MJ is expected to be called into Coles to make a representation on why we are not able to provide a quote. MJ will keep us informed of the development with this tender.
13. Have told MJ that we will be revising our price list due to the depreciation of the Australian dollar.
14. There is still interest in the Fridge Promoter for Caltex. MJ will have a follow up
meeting with them and check on the direction that Caltex wishes to take. POSM has already paid for the tools for this item.
15. MJ has just started a business in pet supplies. The company is called iPaws. This is an internet based business aside from POSM. The store is at www.ipaws.com.au. They are an importer,
wholesaler and distributor of pet related products.
16. MJ is very interested in Resysta for iPaws’ business due to its “green” perspective. In
particular he is keen on developing the following: -
a. Resysta mat for pets as it has air circulation underneath.
b. Resysta for pet beds – similar to a 3-sided planter.
c. Resysta for dog kennel.
17. MJ will send information on the sizes for the bed and the kennel and we will check if
it is possible to build a sample up using existing standard Resysta profiles. He is
looking to see if it is possible to exhibit at least the mats in an exhibition in the Gold
Coast in October.
18. Will also alert MJ that we have the mats in PVC and this may also be a good option
for the pet market
