Two-way ANOVA was performed to determine the ability of
the stigma to support pollen adhesion and germination (stigmatic
receptivity) at three different moments of the female stage with
pollen adhesion and pollen germination percentage as the dependent
variables and time as the explanatory variable. Prior to analysis,
data were first subjected to a Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test
and the homogeneity of variance was assessed with Levene’s test.
Whenever ANOVA results indicated a significant difference, a pairwise
comparison of means by least significant difference test (LSD)
at P≤0.05 was carried out.
