After the coupé and the convertible, in late November at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the Italian firm presented a Huracan LP 580-2 coupé with dual wheel instead of four wheel drive.
A fun alternative for some, and a car whose power and prices were decreased.
The power of its V10 5.2 litre engine was reduced from 610 horsepower to 580, resulting in a slight decrease in performance. 0-100 km/h is now completed in 3.4 seconds against 3.2 for the LP-610-4, and 0-200 km/h is now completed in 10.1 seconds against 9.9 seconds for the previous version. Fuel consumption is announced at 11.9 litres per 100 kilometres.
A few lucky ones had the pleasure of attending the first laps of this LP 580-2 on the track.
With the power transferred to the rear axel, drivers can have all the fun: they burn rubber and drift into turns.
The dual clutch automatic 7 speed transmission is kept on this Huracan LP 580-2 that can reach speeds of 320 km/h in a straightaway.
As for pricing, it’s about 180.000 euros; that’s about 20,000 euros less than its big sister, the Huracan LP 610-4
