We visited Wat Sing Sutthawat 2 days before they held a huge ceremony for Jatukam amulet blessing. Hence the entire temple ground, the halls and the Buddha images were all connected with multiple strings of fai phu khaen, the white strings which are normally given by a monk and tied around one's wrist. Inside the ubosot, large amounts of boxes with amulets where placed, which took away from the beauty of the Buddha image and the murals on the walls. This temple was one of the many (mental) confrontations with had with the craze for the Jatukam amulets in Thailand during 2007.
