The condensation of perennial lignins is lower; in
particular, giant reed lignin with 38%), which is in accordance with
previous reported by NO analysis: among all the lignins, giant reed
revealed the highest yield in oxidation products, denoting lower
condensation. 13C NMR assignments and quantification allow to
calculate the H:G:S based on total lignin structures and not only in
the non-condensed fraction (as it was for NO) – Table 4.
