Total tonnage estimated in Chile in week 32 was at around 32,500 mt (including salmon trimmings), below the amount of around 37,500 mt reported for week 31 but above the 5-years average for the same week estimated at around 20,000 mt. The North of the country resumed the fishing activity in week 30 after a long voluntary fishing ban due to the small size of the fish, but landings have been decreasing week after week since then. In the South most of the raw material continues to come from salmon offcuts. Overall, the used raw material since the start of the year is down by 11% in Chile.
