Thirty crossbreed male pigs (Large White Landrace Pietrain)
were housed individually in galvanized metal crates and
were fed a commercial growing diet until they were aged 12 weeks
(67.4 ± 4.7 kg). At this age the pigs were randomly assigned to
three experimental diets, given ad libitum (10 pigs/diet): a control
group fed a conventional diet (OL0) and two groups fed with conventional
diets supplemented with dried olive leaf powder at 5%
(OL5) and 10% (OL10). 24 pigs (8/treatment) were used in growth
assay and carcass and meat quality and 6 pigs (2/treatment) were
used in a digestibility assay. Water was available ad libitum via a
