Today, we take new technology for granted.
There is a huge gap between those who have access
to new technology and those who don’t. It is called
the ‘Digital Divide’. To use the Internet and go
online you need a computer, the right software, a
phone line, a modem and a subscription to an
Internet service provider. A lot of people can’t
afford it. There is also a language barrier. Most
websites are in English. The technology gap also
exists because many people have an old-fashioned
way of thinking. Governments and educational
institutions should work together to educate
people and introduce local languages into computer
