The panellists were trained to identify and quantify the attributes
using the reference samples (Table 2). After 10 training sessions
of 1 h, the performance of each panellist was assessed. Four
formulations (SAC, PUR, SYNB and SUC-P) were evaluated using a
randomised complete block design with three replications (sessions),
where the four formulations were presented simultaneously
in each session. The intensity of the attributes was determined
using the evaluation sheet prepared. Data from each panellist for
each attribute were analysed by ANOVA. The panellists who had
discriminative capacity ( p-value of Fformulations < 0.5), reproducible
judgements (p-value of Frepetitions 0.05) and consensus with other
members of the group in relation to the attributes were selected
